The proportion of food manufacturers hiring for connectivity-related positions dropped in April, according to fresh analysis of job trends in the sector.
Some 21.7% of the companies monitored by GlobalData were recruiting for at least one such role during the month, the UK-based data and analytics group said.
That was lower than the 22.8% of food manufacturers hiring for connectivity-related jobs a year ago. It was also a decrease compared to the figure of 26.1% in March.
When it came to the rate of all job openings at the food manufacturers under review, connectivity-related job postings rose in April, with 0.5% of newly-posted job ads being linked to the topic.
This latest figure was the highest monthly figure recorded in the past year and is an increase compared to the 0.3% of newly-advertised jobs that were linked to the area in the equivalent month a year ago.
