It was followed by LG with 89 artificial intelligence patent filings, Haier Group (63 filings), and Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications (33 filings) in Q3 2023.

Patenting activity was driven by the US with a 34% share of total patent filings

The largest share of artificial intelligence related patent filings in the consumer industry in Q3 2023 was in the US with 34%, followed by China (22%) and South Korea (7%). The share represented by the US was 8% higher than the 27% share it accounted for in Q2 2023.
